Overview

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) invites online applications for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in various departments of the Government of NCT of Delhi, as well as its autonomous and local bodies. This recruitment is conducted under Advertisement No. 10/2024.

Who Can Apply

Candidates meeting the following eligibility criteria are invited to apply for the Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university. A B.Ed. degree or equivalent qualification in teacher training is required. Desirable: 3 years of teaching experience in a college, higher secondary school, or high school in the relevant subject.
• Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as of the closing date of application (February 14, 2025). Age relaxations are applicable as follows:
  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
  • OBC Candidates: 3 years
  • PwBD Candidates: Up to 15 years (depending on the category)
  • Government Servants: Up to 5 years for Group B posts
  • Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation based on military service, up to a maximum of 55 years
  • Contractual Employees: One-time relaxation equivalent to the actual time spent as a contractual employee in the same department, up to a maximum of 5 years, as per OM No. F.191/2015/S-IV/1751-16 dated June 11, 2019, issued by the Services Department, Government of NCT of Delhi.
• Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens.

Eligibility and Age Relaxation

Contractual Employees: A one-time relaxation in the upper age limit is available for contractual employees of the same department, equivalent to the actual time spent as a contractual employee, up to a maximum of 5 years, as per OM No. F.191/2015/S-IV/1751-16 dated June 11, 2019, issued by the Services Department, Government of NCT of Delhi.

Application Process

Eligible candidates must apply online through the DSSSB Online Application and Registration System (OARS) portal at https://dsssbonline.nic.in. Below are the instructions for new candidates registering on the OARS portal:

1. Visit https://dsssbonline.nic.in and click on "Click for New Registration."
2. Complete the online registration form within the 30-minute session time.
3. Prepare a scanned copy of a photo identity proof (e.g., PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport) in JPG/JPEG format (15–60 KB). If using an Aadhar number, no scanned ID proof is required.
4. Registration is available 24/7 on the DSSSB website.
5. Provide a valid and active email ID and mobile number, as DSSSB may use these for communication. Previously registered email IDs or mobile numbers cannot be reused.
6. Verify both mobile number and email ID using the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to them. If OTP is not received on one, registration can proceed with the OTP received on the other.
7. Check emails regularly for updates from DSSSB.
8. For Class X Roll Numbers that are alphanumeric, enter only the numeric characters.
9. Ensure all details (e.g., Name, Gender, Father’s Name) are entered correctly, as they cannot be edited later.
10. Create only one unique registration number in OARS.
11. After registration, use the registration number as the login ID and password for future access to OARS.

Application Fee: ₹100/- for general category candidates. Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen are exempt from the fee. Payment must be made through SBI e-pay.
